Vishay Israel Ltd. is a wholly owned subsidiary of Vishay Intertechnology Inc. Vishay Intertechnology, headquarted in Malvern, PA, was founded by Dr. Felix Zandman in 1962. Its original products, foil precision resistors and resistance strain gages, have evolved into a full line of resistive products encompassing many technologies. With time Vishay expanded its product line into inductors and all types of capacitors making Vishay the broadest and largest manufacturer of passive components (resistors, capacitors, inductors) in the United States and Europe. Recently Vishay entered the field of discreet semiconductors with a full line of diodes and transistors. This growth from 50 M $ in sales to almost 2 B $ a year occurred in the last 10 years through internal growth and acquisitions. |
