SanDisk Corporation was established in 1988 by Dr. Eli Harari as a young start up focusing on Flash memory technology and products. SanDisk designs, develops, produces and markets independent and integrated Flash memory products. The company product line includes audio video players, mobile USB drives, SSB drives and memory cards for a variety of applications and uses notably digital photography and mobiles. SanDisk is responsible for several of the hottest standards in electronics consumer products. In 2007 company turnover came in at 3.9 billion dollars. The company employs approximately 3,000 people at different worldwide locations. In November 2006 SanDisk acquired the Israeli company M Systems for 1.55 billion dollars. The company has offices at three locations in Israel Kfar Saba, Teffen in the North and Omer in the South. |
