Foreign Degree EvaluationEvaluation of Foreign Academic Degrees and Diplomas
Accreditation of Foreign Academic Degrees and Diplomas is a lengthy process.
You must begin handling the matter, including translation of diplomas, immediately within the first few days of ulpan so that when you begin your job search, you will have all of your documents translated and approved by the Bureau for Evaluation of Foreign Academic Degrees and Diplomas.
In order to obtain accreditation from the Bureau for Evaluation of Degrees, you must take the following steps:
Complete an application form for evaluation of the academic degree / diploma.
The form can be obtained from the Bureau for Evaluation of Foreign Academic Degrees in the Ministry of Education. See addresses below.
You must complete Part A only and attach the following documents to it:
An authenticated photocopy of the original document (diploma) with the signature of the placement clerk that authenticated the photocopy with the original. Photocopy of other diplomas and degrees may be authenticated by presenting the original at any one of the district offices of the Ministry of Education. See addresses below.
An authenticated photocopy of the work registry (for immigrants from the Former Soviet Union).
A notarized translation of the three aforementioned diplomas into Hebrew (no need to translate documents written in English).
Engineers should attach an authenticated photocopy of their registration in the Register of Engineers and Architects. In order to register in the Register of Engineers and Architects, you must contact the Ministry of Labor and Welfare, 86 Derech Menachem Begin, Tel-Aviv 67138, Tel.: 03-5634171.
For every matter, please note your Identity Certificate Number.
In the event of a change of name – please attach a photocopy of the marriage certificate or a notarized declaration.
Submit the aforementioned form and documents to the Department for Evaluation of Degrees and Diplomas in the district bureaus of the Ministry of Education:

Important to Know:
There is no need to approach the Ministry of Education in person. Confirmation of accreditation of your diploma will be sent to applicants by mail.
The Ministry of Education does not grant accreditation to studies that were not completed.
Accreditation is granted for the purpose of salary grade only.
Academic diplomas from the Former Soviet Union that were granted to institute graduates and to immigrants with degree in economic engineering are evaluated by the Ministry of Education as accreditation for a Bachelors Degree.
