New law for Physical Therapists, Occupational Therapists, Speech Therapists and Dietician Licensing September 10, 2008. Ministry of Health: The Ministry of Health is now requiring physical therapists, occupational therapists, speech therapists and dieticians to go through a licensing process to become recognized as a medical professional in Israel. The Ministry of Health is requiring anyone with less than 5 years of work experience in your field in Israel, to take an exam and do an internship. The five year period must be completed by January 30, 2010.

As the law only goes into effect in January, The Ministry of Health is still in the process of clarifying the details pertaining to this new law.
